Job Summary

The post holder will provide efficient and effective professional leadership in this specialised field of care, ensuring standards of patient care are consistently maintained in accordance with agreed operational policies. Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing and interests of all patients, staff and visitors to the service. To strive to improve working practice to increase efficiency working independently as a Lead Nurse in their own right. Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a Team within the service in line with the Health Board's values and behaviour framework of caring for each other, working together and always improving.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse. Professional knowledge gained through a Degree, supported by a Postgraduate qualification/Diploma
* Master's Degree in a relevant field or possess demonstrable equivalent skills, knowledge, training and experience.
* Extensive knowledge of the knowledge and understanding of current professional nursing issues
* Mentorship training/qualification.
Experience
* Substantial experience of working within the speciality. Evidence of significant multidisciplinary working
* Experience of facilitation, teaching and educating others.
* Experience of interagency working and initiating developments across organisational boundaries
Desirable
* Experience of leading service improvement/change
Aptitude and Abilities
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Effective communication and presentation skills to all levels of staff
