Overview
For our Supply Chain department, we are looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Assistant who will join our UK team. The role can be office based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire or working remotely, but some visits to the office will be required. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* Raise PRP (Project Requirements Planning) purchase orders for Equipment, Materials & Services.
* Raise Purchase Orders for Stock at our UK warehouse Finished Goods & Parts.
* Arrange & Control hire equipment for Site Projects.
* Indirect (Non project) purchase orders such as PPE & EH&S requirements, stationery.
* Planning Transport (Inbound).
* Arrange local transport (Outbound).
* Some Supply Chain reporting.
* Managing the stock levels of the various article groups.
* Back-up for SC country lead.
Qualifications
Education, knowledge and experience:
* Educated to at least A level preferred.
* Experience with an ERP (BAAN) system or willingness to learn it.
* You are professional, cost-conscious and commercial in your dealings. You are results-oriented, have perseverance and are eager to learn and expand your responsibilities.
* You also have effective communication skills, have persuasive powers, Excellent attention to detail, not afraid to speak up or ask questions, ability to prioritize your workload and work with minimum supervision.
