We at Godfrey Care are a specialist Provider of Autism and Learning Disability Services across the Midlands. Due to the expansion of our services, we have a vacancy for a Part Time PBS Clinical Practitioner based in our Stoke-on-Trent service. In this role, you will be specifically working alongside the Staffordshire Transforming Care Programme (TCP) Team and the Intensive Support Team (IST) to transition an individual from a secure hospital to our Complex Residential Care Service.
We are looking for someone to join our team on a part-time basis, consisting of 3-4 days a week for the duration of 6 months. These days can be delivered as agreed with the PBS Clinical Lead. As we are a growing Provider, we would be keen to explore future opportunities for the successful candidate in our organisation following the completion of the 6-month role.
As an organisation, we are passionate and ambitious about the opportunities the TCP programme can make to the lives of the individuals transitioning from hospital back into the community. This role is a unique opportunity as we will require you to lead the support team to design, implement, and monitor interventions for the individual you will be working with.
You will continuously promote a person-centred approach and be a passionate advocate for the needs of individuals with Autism and Learning disabilities, with the ability to communicate well with various stakeholders. You will have substantial experience in working with people with behavioural support needs and have the skillset to identify the person beyond their behaviours, striving to improve every aspect of the individual’s quality of life.
Reporting to our PBS Clinical Lead, you will hold a qualification in PBS, such as an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support, or Analysis and Intervention in IDD. BCBA / UKBA(cert) is desirable but not essential. Alternatively, you may hold other related qualifications, such as Registered Nurse status with the NMC or have/be working towards the BILD Level 5 Diploma Positive Behaviour Support.
This is an amazing opportunity to change the life of a young individual with complex needs and work in true partnership with Health and Social Care services to bring about long-term, quality of life outcomes. We welcome you to join our team at Godfrey Care.
