Management Accountant (Fully Qualified) £35-£42k + benefits, Charity, Oxfordshire
A fantastic opportunity exists for a committed and practising Christian to join this well-established Christian Charity at their Oxfordshire Headquarters in the role of Management Accountant.The charity is seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant as a key part of their finance team. We are looking for a confident and articulate finance professional with the ability to produce and present high-quality financial information. Good experience in a similar role is essential and you’ll need to be a fully qualified accountant ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent. You’ll be responsible for running payroll (for c. 120 staff), line managing a finance assistant and deputising for the Director of Finance upon occasion. Day to day responsibilities include:
* Produce accurate and timely reports including monthly management accounts, highlighting any critical issues or potential problems to senior management.
* Develop cost and analysis models.
* Month end processing and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Preparing and presenting financial reports to business managers.
* Support financial planning and budgeting process.
* Assist in production of year end accounts and VAT returns.
* Ensure the integrity of the financial record-keeping and reporting systems including preparation of monthlyjournals, correction mis-postings and regular scrutiny of nominal ledger accounts.
* Work with the People team then prepare payroll on a monthly basis for the charities employees for approval by Director of Finance, provide pension information to pension provider, deal with queries, prepare and distribute year end returns and reconciliations after approval. Produce P45s and P60s.
* Donations: enter donations onto Sage, reconcile Sage records to CRM database on a monthly basis.
* Bank transfers: prepare bank transfers to supplier and staff as required and manage cash flow.
You will also be involved in project work as required and will line manage a Finance Assistant ensuring they are equipped to do their finance tasks and are informed about the goals and strategy of the Finance team and the charity, providing CPD, delegating tasks as appropriate, covering goal setting, performance, well-being (general and spiritual) and their learning and development .
