Youll be responsible forfabrication and welding of bespoke pipework products, often involving multiple positional welds. Using yourMIG, TIG, and MMA welding experience, youll work on bothcarbon and stainless-steel pipeworkandpressure vessels, following detailed engineering drawings and weld procedures todeliver high-quality, customer-specific solutions .Your tasks may includemarking out, plasma cutting, grinding, and drilling, alongside inspecting and maintaining weld quality throughout. You'llwork closely with your Team Leader, although the role is production-focused, you'll have theautonomy to manage your workloadefficiently. Youll also play an important part inupholding EHS standardsand contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.Ideally you will have proven experience inMIG, TIG, and MMA welding, particularly onpipework and pressure vesselsmade fromcarbon and stainless steel. While you dont need to be coded, you must be confident working fromengineering drawings, familiar withfabrication techniques, and capable of maintaining high quality standards in a production environment. Aflexible, proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment tohealth and safetyare essential.WelderKey Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and MMAwelds oncarbon and stainless-steelpipework and pressure vessels, ensuring all work meets welding standards and customer specifications.
Interpret and work from engineering drawingsandweld proceduresto accurately fabricate bespoke components.
Carry outmarking out, plasma cutting, oxyacetylene cutting, grinding, and drillingas part of the fabrication process.
Maintain welding qualitythroughout production, conducting visual checks and reporting any defects or inconsistencies.
Adhere to allEnvironmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standardsand actively promote a safe working environment.
Operate and set upshop floor machineryin accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and daily production plans.
Useoverhead pendant cranessafely to move materials and finished fabrications around the workshop.
Supportcontinuous improvement initiativesby contributing ideas, identifying process enhancements, and collaborating with the team to improve efficiency and quality.
WelderKey skills / experience:
Proven experience inMIG, TIG, and MMA welding
Comfortable working withcarbon and stainless-steel materials
Ability toweld pipework and pressure vesselsto a high standard
Confident working fromengineering drawings and weld procedures
Experience withplasma cutting, grinding, and drilling
Understanding and application ofsafe EHS practices
