Lecturer in Bricklaying – Full-time, Permanent (Cambridge)
About the Role:
As a Lecturer in Bricklaying, you will be responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical sessions to students, enabling them to develop the skills necessary to succeed in the bricklaying and construction industry. Your key duties will include:
✔️ Planning and delivering high-quality lessons and assessments, ensuring they meet both academic and industry standards.
✔️ Supporting and mentoring students throughout their learning journey, providing guidance on their career development.
✔️ Developing and updating course content to ensure it reflects current industry practices and advancements.
✔️ Collaborating closely with other teaching staff and industry professionals to ensure students are exposed to the latest teaching methods and practical experiences.
✔️ Monitoring and evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure their continued development.
✔️ Contributing to maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.
About You:
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and experienced professional who meets the following criteria:
✅ Proven industry experience in Bricklaying and/or Construction.
✅ A Level 3 vocational qualification in Bricklaying (or equivalent).
✅ A genuine passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with students.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage learners.
✅ A commitment to ensuring students succeed and progress in their studies and future careers.
✅ Teaching experience or a teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential.
Salary: £28,385 – £41,782 per annum, depending on experience.
