An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and motivated individual to join our management team as a Community Services Care Manager for a new service coming online in Lanark .

The new developments within our services allow the organisation to demonstrate its commitment into investing into children’s services with a launchpad into throughcare services.

We are recruiting for an ambitious, experienced and motivated Care Manager who understands the benefits of trauma informed practice and wants to work in a nurturing and caring environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and dynamic childcare professional. The new service is a state of the art community facility with ability to house five young people. The age range of our young people is from 10-19 years old.

The Community Services Care Manager will be responsible for running multiple teams and will work a five over seven rota which will include on call responsibilities as per the rota. The on-call allowance is already built in to the salary advertised.
Shifts will be a mixture of dayshifts, backshifts, weekend and public holiday working. Successful candidates would be responsible to the Senior Services Managers and may be asked to assist at our campus in Airdrie when required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
The Care Manager will be required to have:
· Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a registered manager
· Completion of SVQ Level 4 and/or working towards completion of SCQF Level 10 Leadership and Management qualification within SSSC registration timeframe
. A full driving licence.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Additional desirable skills and qualifications
include:
· Degree Qualification in relevant discipline.
· Registered Managers Award.
Key Attributes-
· Extensive residential childcare experience, which has been strongly demonstrated in a management position, ideally within a community provision.
· Can demonstrate effective team management of staff teams who are supporting children and young people to achieve their individual education, health, and wellbeing outcomes.
·Lead the team(s) to work collaboratively with families and external agencies to meet the needs of children and young people.
· Working knowledge and significant experience of implementing current legislation and policy including St Philip’s School Strategic Plan, GIRFEC, the National Care standards, SSSC codes of conduct, The Promise, School Improvement Plan and UNCRC in their current practice.
· Will supervise and support the Assistant Service Managers associated with their service(s).
· Will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate alignment to the school values of Trust, Support and Resilience
·Promoting participation and inclusion, through working alongside children and young people to deliver innovative, creative, and personalised care and education.
· Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the service(s) users and St Philip’s School.
