Join us as a Supply Chain Delivery Manager

* This is a hybrid role so you’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend 2 days per week in the Edinburgh or Manchester office
What you'll do
As a Supply Chain Delivery Manager, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of new sourcing projects and contract renewals across multiple spend categories, as well as supporting joined-up, global supply chain strategies and solutions across multiple spend categories, geographies, and business areas.
You’ll also be contributing to the management of our supply base in line with our strategy, including the management of suppliers on behalf of our bank, identifying potential new suppliers, and managing and improving sustainability performance.
In addition to this, you’ll be:
* Delivering plans and prioritising to ensure efficient delivery and management of the supply base in line with our objectives
* Undertaking contract renewals and new sourcing projects with financial signing authority in line with published delegated levels of authority
* Building networks across the supply market and other external organisations, including competitors and developing deep insights and analysis
* Creating relationships with stakeholders and delivering an excellent supply chain service
* Supporting and implementing a deep understanding of the franchises, functions and business areas that’re relevant to project or contracts and delivering solutions and meet and challenge their requirements
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes, with experience of managing a variety of third-party suppliers and categories.
You’ll be educated to a degree level or equivalent, and you’ll have experience of contributing to business-critical supplier relationships and contracts to deliver sustainable improvements.
You’ll also demonstrate:
* Good legal and contract law knowledge that’s relevant to supply chain services across multiple geographies
* Experience of applying supply chain skills, such as sourcing and negotiation techniques to positively disrupt business strategy and outcomes
* A proven track record of taking ownership for resolving issues within a supply chain services environment
* Experience of contributing to the design and implementation of a variety of supply chain models, such as offshore, outsourcing, utility and make versus buy
* Cost and financial management experience to drive value and commercial benefits
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
