An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Maternity Matron Post within the Family Care Group. This post will be cross site and the post-holder will require a full-driving licence with access to own car. This post will create the opportunity to directly influence and improve both the care of families accessing care, and staff experience on our journey to excellence.
The Matron role is to provide professional and clinical leadership for all the maternity staff, ensuring the delivery of patient focussed high quality standards of care are delivered to ensure patient safety and a positive patient experience, supporting the delivery of national and local strategic and operational service objectives.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate effective professional compassionate leadership, alongside being a competent accountable clinical practitioner who has excellent clinical and leadership skills, and be a role model for the maternity workforce for implementing and sustaining change and patient centred care.
You will need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and passionate about the delivery of innovative safe patient centred care. To carry out this role you must have proven management and leadership experience within a maternity setting. You may be expected to contribute to the Trusts Duty Matron rota which includes out of hours working on site.
