Job Title: Capital Accountant Location of work: Reigate Town Hall Salary: £55,119 to £60,489 per annum Basis: Full time, Permanent About the Role This is a newly created cross-cutting role that sits within the Management and Commercial section of the finance team. (One of the three teams in the finance structure). As a key member of the finance team, you will take the lead on capital accounting and maintenance of the Council’s Fixed Asset Register as well as keeping track of funding of the capital schemes that support the capital programme which include S106 and Community Infrastructure Levy Schemes (CIL). You’ll also support the finance team with the Council’s capital strategy and support the year-end accounting process by producing notes for the Statutory Accounts relating to capital. You’ll be supporting a wide range of stakeholders across the council including elected members by providing accounting support and advice with regard to the Council’s 5 year rolling capital programme.
