Colne Saddlery is a family run business, operated by a keen riding family who understand the needs and demands of both rider and horse; the business has grown organically over the last 50 years building a reputation across the South West for excellent quality of products and services.
As the business has developed over the years, we are now seeking an experienced E-commerce Marketing Manager to assist in driving our online presence and performance to the next level.
This exciting role is perfect for an experienced and strategic marketer with a proven track record in e-commerce, paid campaigns and social media, if you are looking for the autonomy to shape marketing strategy while staying actively involved in its delivery, this opportunity is not to be missed.
This role is integral to driving brand growth, strengthening our positioning in the market, and engaging both existing and new customers to build lasting loyalty. You will take ownership of the planning and delivery of our marketing strategy; collaborate across teams to align marketing efforts and ensure the seamless integration of storytelling and brand elevation in everything we do.
Responsibilities include:
1. Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Colne Saddlery. Crafting seasonal narratives to align with product launches, built around strong product and brand storytelling.
2. Lead Generation & Conversion: Design and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive customer leads and optimise conversion rates across both digital and offline channels.
3. Website Management: Oversee and manage the website to ensure optimal performance, customer engagement, and conversion, continuously enhancing user experience and digital touchpoints.
4. Brand Marketing: Lead the overall brand marketing strategy, enhancing brand presence in both local and national markets, and maintaining strong brand positioning.
5. Digital Marketing & PPC: Manage online customer acquisition – SEO, PPC, GA4, Meta Ads, focusing on conversion rate, ROI, customer engagement and branding.
6. SEO & Digital PR: Maintain and improve SEO rankings, ensuring the website and digital presence remain competitive.
7. Reporting & Optimisation: Monitor and report on campaign performance, driving continuous improvement in marketing effectiveness and customer experience.
The ideal candidate will bring:
8. Proven experience in e-commerce marketing, with a strong focus on driving online sales and customer engagement
9. Expertise in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, paid ads)
10. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies
11. Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with experience working across several brands
12. A proactive and innovative mindset, always looking for opportunities to improve and grow, but also able to role up your sleeves and assist with other duties where required to muck in with the team.
13. Candidates must be competent using various IT packages including Canva, Adobe, Mailchimp, META, GA4, Salesfire experience preferred but not essential.
This is an office based post, candidates must reside within commutable distance of Bourton on the Water.
This position can be full or part time to suit the ideal candidate.
