Position: F&B Supervisor Reporting to: Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager Main Duties and Areas of Accountability To support management in implementing any new procedures. To deputize in the absence of the F&B Manager & Assistant F&B Manager, being responsible for the operation, organization and staffing level of the F&B department. To facilitate a daily meeting between the F&B team in the absence of the F&B Manager or Assistant F&B Manager. Ensure the quality of service offered always meets and exceeds brand standard. Ensure quality of food & drinks is always maintained to the highest standard. Work closely with F&B manager to drive sales, profitability and manage cost. To lead and motivate the F&B team in a positive manner. To have exceptional knowledge of our food and beverages offerings at all times. Respond to all customers & colleagues in a polite and helpful manner, providing assistance when necessary. To maintain the high standards of service within the F&B department by ensuring SOP’s are adhered to at all times To ensure that guests are allocated the correct tables throughout the different services of the day To liaise with bar staff to ensure drink/wine orders are taken either by yourself or by the bar staff. To communicate with F&B Manager/Head/Sous Chef throughout service time on covers, seating and availability of items etc. Maintain effective communication between the F&B department, the kitchen and the reception to ensure the smooth operation of the F&B operation. To adhere to and practice the correct procedures as set out by the company. To ensure that the F&B department is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and in good order. Organise and supervise cleaning duties and rotas. To be aware and ensure that your staff adhere to the hotel policy regarding uniform standards and personal hygiene. Ensure staff are aware of the hotels fire and safety policy. To liaise with the Head/Sous Chef with regards to all matters concerning food service. To attend meetings when requested. To maintain security in the F&B department and make staff aware of the penalty for pilfering. To ensure that all food & drinks orders are processed in the correct manner and sales are recorded correctly through the till system using the appropriate devices. To be responsible and ensure all restaurant & bar bills are processed and tills balance at the end of each shift. Controlling overtime and staffing level in the absence of the F&B Manager Respond to all customers & colleagues in a polite and helpful manner, providing assistance when necessary. To lead and motivate the F&B team in a positive manner.
