Empowering others. Building trust, respecting, and valuing the individual; these are the keys to supporting people to live the lives they choose. Are you able to recognise when listening is your most valuable skill? This is what we need from you.
We are looking for someone to support three very independent men to live the lives they choose. Someone with the knowledge of working with individuals with LD, Autism, and mental health. Or new to this sort of role but able to recognise the value of empowering others and sensitive to people's needs.
Supporting individuals to manage tenancies, seeking and keeping employment, have your finger on the pulse of being able to signpost to good physical and mental health, social opportunities, and human rights. Be confident in recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns. Being receptive to choices people make and supporting from a non-judgemental way.
Proactive in supporting people to develop independent skills, confident in using systems to record in a professional way to be shared with our stakeholders.
You will be working various shifts between the hours of 08:00-19:30. This could be a long day or shorter shifts back-to-back with individuals so you will need to be flexible and expect to work weekends.
If you share our values and are looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in peoples’ lives, then we want to hear from you.
At Milestones Trust we recognise that without the hard work, commitment and passion of our staff, we wouldn’t be the charity that we are today. In return, we are committed to rewarding you with a competitive pay and benefits package including:
* 30 days annual leave entitlement
* Company pension scheme, to help grow your retirement pot
* Learning and development opportunities to help you to build your career, including a comprehensive induction programme, and the opportunity to undertake further qualifications
* Health Cash Plan on completion of probation giving you access to a minimum of £695 cash back for health treatments e.g. dental, therapies, optical, maternity/paternity, NHS prescriptions etc.
