We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our client's dynamic team. As the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and strategy of our client's organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the company's fiscal health and compliance with relevant regulations.

Our client is looking for a committed Head of Finance to manage all finance and accounting operations. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements and cashflows and having project cost accounting experience would be a great advantage.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
* Manage the financial planning and budgeting processes to achieve the company's financial goals.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and resource allocation.
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
* Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and other relevant laws and regulations.
* Manage cash flow and optimize working capital to enhance liquidity and financial stability.
* Implement and maintain robust financial controls and risk management processes.
* Oversee all company statutory accounts in preparation for end of year audits as well as management accounts and cash flows for the Group.
* Prepare and analyse project cost accounting reports.
* Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
* Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
* Supervise and manage a small team of accountants and financial assistants.
* Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
* Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
* Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
* Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
* Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
* Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
* Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to make informed strategic decisions.
* Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
* Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
* Present reports to the CEO, senior executives, stakeholders, and board members with timely and accurate financial information.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* An ambitious and dedicated ACCA/ICAEW qualified accountant.
* Proven experience in a senior finance role.
* Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
* Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong leadership and managerial abilities.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Highly proficient in MS Excel (macros not essential), with the ability to work with large amounts of data, extracted from multiple sources, ability to synthesize data efficiently and summarize and present clearly and concisely.
* A highly committed member of the Senior Management Team.
* Ability to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others.
* Experience in Sage 200 or other similar accounting software.
* Experience of Reporting will include preparation and completion of statutory accounts, management accounts & cashflows.
* Hands-on within the finance department (preparation of information, company secretarial, VAT returns, and Company House filings, etc.).
* Excellent strategic and commercial skills with the ability to hone into the detail as well as the bigger picture.
