The Project
As a highly experienced Site Manager, you will play a crucial role on various projects within the housing, retail, education, commercial, industrial, healthcare and leisure and hospitality sectors with values between £10m - £12m, in and around York and Yorkshire. From inception to completion, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are successfully delivered on time and within budget.

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
SMSTS
First Aid
CSCS CardIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Proven history of successfully delivering various projects in the commercial, healthcare, new build, or education sectors
Extensive background in the industry with at least 5 years of experience of operating in a Site Manager position or similar for a leading contractor or subcontractorAdditional skills;
Superb negotiation abilities
Competent IT / software skills
Extensive health and safety knowledge
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to organise and manage project schedules
A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes

Reporting to: Construction Manager / Project ManagerDuties
On-site safety inductions
Liaise with the principal contractor
Coordinate with external stakeholders
Conduct and attend routine site meetings
Handle any issues or conflicts that arise throughout the project
Comply with health and safety regulations throughout all work operations
Report and work closely with the Construction Manager / Project Manager
Oversee package costs, maintaining alignment with the established budget
Identify possible threats to the works, implementing effective strategies to address them
Coordinate and manage daily site activities, overseeing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Managing resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively
Serve as the principal contact between the project team, clients, and stakeholders, delivering regular updates on project progress
Maintaining accurate documentation of all project components, including contracts, permits, change orders, and communications
Enhance and maintain positive client relationships by resolving concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with project developmentsThis is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
