Reference: CCC00361Description: ****INTERNAL ONLY****The RoleThis Executive Assistant role will primarily support the Mayor’s Office by coordinating civic activities, including assisting with charity fundraising and managing the Mayor’s public engagements.Executive Assistants provide professional, pro-active, efficient and effective executive support to the Cambridge City Council Leadership Team, The Leader of the Council, Councillors and The Mayor of Cambridge (Principal Clients) to enable them to fulfil their role effectively, whilst maintaining the neutrality of the office you are representing at all times.Undertaking diary and email management for your Principal Clients you will be responsible for balancing competing demands on their time. Additionally, depending on your principal client, you will oversee the Mayor’s Office, support the Leader of the Council, or coordinate activities for the Leadership Team’s Operational Group, ensuring there are effective administration systems in place to support them in their roles.You’ll be the contact point for internal colleagues, external partners, Councillors, The Mayor, customers, callers, visitors and complainants, dealing and filtering contacts appropriately, signposting to alternative contacts as required.About YouHaving worked as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant for a Senior Manager you’ll have experience in anticipating the needs and priorities of your client, have excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail and can demonstrate discretion and confidentiality when required.You’ll have GCSE English (Grade A-C/9-4) or equivalent, and preferably be International Computer Driving License qualified to ensure you can optimise M365 applications and use these to bring efficiencies to the role.
