To provide effective administration that is critically important to the Trust and patients. The endoscopy administrator will work as part of a team in providing effective clerical and administration support to the endoscopy department. To ensure that appointments and patient information is sent out to patients in a timely manner, in accordance with the waiting list policy and departmental procedures.
Successful Candidate will be required to work at Royal Hampshire County Hospital and provide cross-site cover when necessary.
To ensure that all referrals are booked according to the pre-admission date and that all the information needed for each specific procedure is sent out to the patient in a timely manner.
• To answer the telephone politely and to give the correct information to patients as requested.
• To provide ward clerking duties as needed.
• To provide administrative duties for the Nurse endoscopists as required.
• To ensure communication at all levels is of a high standard in ensuring that patients, staff and colleagues receive and fully understand what is being communicated.
