About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a Supervising Associate / Solicitor to oversee the delivery of various legal processes relating to litigated debt recovery processes. In this supervising role you will monitor and govern all reserved legal activities across our Leeds Debt Recovery Delivery Centre and support to supervise our regulated Manchester Lender Services Delivery centre.
Working closely to monitor all proceedings and give real-time feedback to Managers and Paralegals to continually improve quality and ensure all litigated activities meet the required standard.
1. To manage and develop the Practice Group's existing knowledge and the continual improvement of our litigated processes and procedures.
2. Ensure the teams are process compliant with regulatory and DWF policy supervision obligations.
3. Identify and report any risks as soon as possible and create potential solutions.
4. Monitor all quality for all litigated activities across the Debt Recoveries and Lender Services Team.
5. Provide real-time feedback to litigated work to Managers and Paralegals.
6. Assist the Operations Delivery Director with new projects that come into Legal Operations and give advice on Litigated process best practice.
7. Keep up to date with case law relating to debt recovery/enforcement and ensure we meet the required standards.
About you
The ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified lawyer/Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE experience ideally gained within a debt recoveries environment (other areas such as commercial will be considered).
* Excellent drafting skills and the ability to supervise teams of varying experience.
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
* Embraces technology and constantly looking at ways to improve.
* Ability to work to give feedback/challenge leaders across the division to mitigate risk.
