Provide a comprehensive clerical service to the clinical secretarial team, undertaking duties such as printing correspondence, photocopying, distribution of correspondence and reports according to the requirements of the service Exchange information with patients and staff, both verbally and in written format Communicate Be able to use the required electronic systems for correspondence, clinic management and the retrieval of results as and when required Confidently manage incoming email enquiries, sorting these to relevant individuals and providing responses where necessary Answer incoming telephone calls with appropriate management of the query. Maintaining a log of incoming voicemails and directing as appropriate Maintain confidentiality of information Assist with the monitoring of standards e.g. benchmarking, audit and assist with the implementation of action plans to improve quality of services Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines, taking action/alerting senior management team if practice appears to contravene policy, or if concerned about any aspect of care
