Waracle is looking for a Senior Product Designer, based from any of our offices (Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow or London) in a hybrid working pattern.
The Senior Product Designer will possess a solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and design processes. Strong in design strategy, the Senior Designer will be responsible for working through the end to end process, collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and products.
What you'll be doing:
* Facilitate workshops and design sprints to generate and prioritise ideas for features and functionalities.
* Collaborate closely with the client, product managers, and the tech team to define and validate the product idea through a series of standard UX research and design steps.
* Plan and execute projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
* Drive the design process, including product, service, and experience design, in collaboration with technical teams.
* Plan and conduct user research to gain insights into target users' behaviours, goals, and pain points.
* Develop personas, customer journeys and user stories to guide product design decisions.
* Craft engaging and seamless user interfaces that adhere to accessibility, useability and discoverability standards
* Ensure smooth execution of projects within an Agile environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
* Strong experience developing and implementing product strategy, including defining vision, goals and roadmap.
* Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and design methodologies, with experience running product discoveries.
* Strong background in design strategy, shaping innovative approaches to product development and user experience.
* Proficient in popular design tools such as Figma
* Strong skills in utilising user research insights to guide design choices and validate product concepts iteratively.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate teams.
* Understanding of agile principles and how they can be applied to complex spaces and teams to craft effective solutions
