Within this context we are seeking a Process Engineer, a fantastic opportunity to be part of our Process Engineering team covering
all our sites in Lincolnshire, and to participate in the wider growth plans of the business.
LOCATION: Louth, with occasional travel to our Skegness sites.
JOB TITLE: PROCESS ENGINEER
JOB TYPE: FULL TIME
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
SALARY: £43,000 - £47,000PA (DEPENDING ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)
JOB PURPOSE:
The successful candidate will act as the link between our Research & Development department, Production and Engineering to ensure
there is an efficient and reliable process in place to manufacture new products. It is essential for the candidate to understand
the capability / detail of existing processes and work with internal and external suppliers to modify, adjust and develop the
correct line / machine settings.
Key Duties:
* Attend project meetings and work closely with our Research & Development department to understand the design intent of new
products under development, advising on the impact on our processing equipment accordingly.
* Be the point of contact for relevant installation projects across the company, managing suppliers, process and reporting back
on progress.
* Work closely with machinery suppliers or with internal colleagues to prove process capability on new machinery or modified
machinery commissioning.
* Ensuring any machinery purchased or modified is safe to operate and legally compliant.
* Be an agent for change driving the business forward whilst not losing sight of the core values of the business as expressed in
the Micronclean SKIE's.
* Adopt effective data driven problem solving utilising a structured approach (Micronclean 5C or Ford’s 8D for example)
* Evaluation and evidencing of pro’s and con’s of different approaches to how to manufacture products.
* Contribute to capital spend process demonstrating requirements through data and predicted benefits.
* Support project meetings and Research & Development to consider the impact of product designs changes to the processes
available.
* Build strong relationships with the internal customer to understand and ensure their expectations are repeatedly delivered
through process engineering best practise.
* Promote the concept and understanding of the internal customer & always having the customers’ needs at the heart of everything
we do.
* Lateral thinker that can innovate and create alternative solutions to resolve long-term issues.
The Candidate:
We are looking for a Process Engineer who has practical experience in a manufacturing or a production environment who can lead the
process engineering function, establish how best to manufacture a new product and research and source new processing equipment as
required by the business. The successful candidate will have a data driven approach to problem solving and continuous
improvement and be able to work using their own initiative, with a proactive attitude helping to drive the department forward.
Key experience essential for the role:
* Candidates must have a Full Driving Licence.
* Candidates must be HND / HNC qualified within a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
* PC skills including cad, modelling software, excel, PowerPoint & word.
* An electrical bias / 17th addition electrical would be beneficial.
* An understanding of steam systems would be beneficial.
* Pneumatics experience would be beneficial.
Extra training and progression for the right candidate will be offered.
