The Opportunity:
Europe’s #1 Integrated Defence Company seeks an ambitious Software Verification & Validation Engineer to support test proving activities for next-gen Missile & Weapons Systems.
The Role:
You’ll help shape the integrity of some of the most advanced weapon systems in service today. As part of the Product-Level Test Team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and evolution of cutting-edge military technology.
This is a unique opportunity for an engineer passionate about verification and validation, working at the intersection of software, systems, and automation. You’ll develop and execute automated test suites, collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and test environment engineers, and play a hands-on role in proving complex software solutions that push the boundaries of defence capability.
Required Skills/Experience:
* Hands-on experience with verification, validation, and certification processes
* Skilled in developing and running automated tests using relevant tools and techniques.
* Expertise in diagnosing test failures and working with teams to implement solutions.
* Strong documentation skills, with experience working alongside stakeholders to verify software compliance with requirements.
* Knowledge of techniques to enhance testing efficiency through new tools and methods.
* Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as DO-178C.
* Experience in automation, continuous integration, and build pipelines.
* Background in high-quality, high-accuracy environments.
* Proven track record in coaching and mentoring teams.
* Experience setting up and maintaining test environments, tools, and rigs.
Benefits Package:
* Base salary: Up to £57,000 (DoE)
* Annual Bonus: Circa 2,500
* Overtime: Optional paid overtime - flat rate (1.25)

* Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Pension: Pension 14% (6% Employee and 8% Employer)
