Nursery Preschool Manager We have a fantastic opportunity for an existing experienced manager or a Deputy / Third in charge who is looking to take the next step in their career, to manage and lead our lovely 48 place pre school. The nursery caters for children ages 2-5 years old. Our staff make the most of the rural location of the nursery and all the children have daily outdoor play opportunities in the fresh air. We believe it is essential to optimise the beautiful rural area around us, to ensure the children can not only have fun but simultaneously learn about the environment and how we can make greener choices. The ideal candidate will have excellent early years experience, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be an inspirational leader. The ideal nursery pre school manager candidate will have: Experience of managing an early years provision. Experience with early years/ EYFS Ofsted funding etc. Minimum 1 years experience working within managerial position. Qualified to Level 3 or above in childcare / Early Years The Nursery / Preschool Managers key responsibilities: Responsibility for the daily running of the preschool. Partnership working with parents Leading and developing teamwork. Working with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) Curriculum, care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the childs individual development in a stimulating atmosphere Ensuring developmental records and observations are kept. Maintaining staff ratios. Paperwork, occupancy, funding. Ofsted experience. The role is ideally full time working 4 or 5 days per week, but part time hours can be discussed as we appreciate a work life balance. :) Salary is negotiable, based on experience and qualifications and hours.
