We are currently recruiting for a Market Design Manager within National Grid Interconnectors.
As a Market Design Manager, you'll be responsible for developing market designs which are beneficial for the UK and connecting countries and which support Interconnector, Offshore Hybrid Asset and other asset technology strategies.
You will be an expert at collaborating in a highly organised way with stakeholders inside and outside of National Grid Ventures. This includes working with partner organisations, Governments and Regulators to form these mutually beneficial solutions.

This role is based in Warwick and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home.
Key accountabilities
* Drive the development and delivery of new market arrangements for Offshore Hybrid Assets and coordinated cross-border infrastructure in the North Sea.
* Drive the development and delivery of NGV’s positioning on improved cross-border trading arrangements.
* Work with internal teams to ensure alignment and drive key strategic decision making on all UK and cross-border market design issues.
* Work with the Head of Market Design to drive our external Market Design messaging strategy across all platforms.
* Build and maintain first class relationships across industry (including Regulators, Government, Trade Associations, key Industry Participants, NESO) to build momentum for our external Market Design Advocacy.
About you
* Good understanding of electricity markets in GB and across the EU wholesale market, balancing mechanism, ancillary services, renewable support mechanisms, and network charges and access.
* Experience of working in a complex environment, advising and challenging others, with the ability to effectively communicate complex issues to non-expert audiences.
* Ability to communicate clearly and influence a range of key stakeholders.
* An ability to embrace commercial innovation.
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £64,000 - £76,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
