Working in collaboration with colleagues internally and externally our growing Communications team (part of our Marketing and Student Services team) strives to tell our story and build our reputation, across a range of audiences and channels and in line with our new identity and brand.
We are looking for a Corporate Events Officer who will support the delivery of a range of University events, managing all the event administration, including ensuring all relevant documentation is completed, and event management processes are followed. You will support the production of events materials, in accordance with the University’s identity and brand.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the delivery of a range of University events, including, but not limited to staff events, graduation and external visits.
2. Managing events administration, including overseeing the completion of relevant documentation (for example risk assessments), ensuring all event documentation is up to date and accessible, inputting, checking and analysing event data and using this to generate information as required, and any temporary staff / budget administration.
3. Creating and sharing detailed events plans, and briefings in a clear, consistent and timely way.
4. Supporting the production of materials, information, and communications to support events, ensuring they are produced in accordance with the University’s identity and brand guidelines.
5. Managing the technical aspects of hybrid / online events, including setting up break out rooms and using digital tools to support participant engagement. This will be largely using Microsoft Teams, but the postholder will be expected to recommend, test and trial new software as appropriate.
