Job Summary
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Ringwood. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher with a background in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons and providing the necessary emotional support to help students thrive in an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
As an SEMH Teacher, your duties will include:
* Developing and delivering lesson plans that meet the needs of students with SEMH, ensuring an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
* Using strategies to manage behaviour and promote emotional well-being, ensuring all students feel safe and valued.
* Working closely with other staff members, including teaching assistants and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to teaching.
* Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support each student’s unique learning needs.
* Monitoring students’ progress and adapting lessons to ensure they achieve their full potential.
* Providing a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for students with SEMH.
* Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support the emotional and academic development of each student.
Requirements
To be considered for the SEMH Teacher role, you should have:
* A QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent, with experience in teaching students with SEMH.
* A strong understanding of SEMH and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
* Patience, resilience, and empathy in working with students who may face emotional and behavioural challenges.
* A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
