The Supplies team currently has a vacancy for a Supplies Inventory Assistant based in Letchworth. The job involves a mixture of driving, warehouse work, and administrative duties.
This role fills several purposes within the Supplies department and involves warehouse work, admin work, and courier work. Each day can be different based on operational pressures.
This role will involve heavy lifting.
The Supplies Inventory Assistants are the backbone of the Supplies department, fulfilling a vital role in the supply chain of clinical goods, clinical equipment, drugs, and consumables, ensuring each Trust department has the supplies they need to deliver outstanding patient care.
The postholder must be able to drive a Luton type delivery vehicle, as work will often require courier deliveries across East of England and will involve manual handling, computer work, and warehouse duties.
The postholder will be allocated tasks by the Supplies Inventory Coordinator, Supplies Supervisor, or Supplies Manager and will be flexible in completing the tasks allocated.
We are always looking to innovate our approaches and work together to offer the best possible patient care across our counties.
We aim to represent and value the diversity of our local communities through our workforce and service provision. We therefore positively encourage applications from under-represented groups, such as Black, Asian, or other ethnic groups, individuals with a disability, or LGBTQ+ individuals who meet the specific criteria.
We at EEAST want to support our employees in achieving a balance between work and other priorities, such as caring responsibilities, family commitments, further learning, and other interests. We therefore welcome flexible working requests.
