DMW Recruitment are looking for x3 Experienced and Graduate Electrical Design Engineers to join the team in our clients busy Teesside office
Our client specialise in automation and electrical power for the marine, renewables and offshore industries.
The successful experienced candidates are likely to have designed marine and offshore/subsea equipment and carried out extensive hands-on commissioning.
The Role
The role will include, but not be limited to the following activities:
* Preparing project documentation including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT and SAT procedures.
* Creating design concepts and producing detailed design documentation from them including (but not limited to) electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, cabinet and panel layout drawings, I/O lists, 3D models, bills of materials, alarms lists, design reports, cause & effect matrices, FMECA.
* Liaising with Purchasing for equipment procurement, preparing RFQs and technical procurement specifications.
* Liaising with Production, resolving design documentation issues and creating as built drawings.
* Start up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and where necessary site commissioning site integration and acceptance testing.
* Production of final project close out documentation package including drawing updates, O&M manuals, spare parts lists.
Skills & Experience
Proficient with E-Plan, 3D modelling and simulation platforms you will be responsible for taking designs from concept to reality, and will be familiar with producing specifications, designs and calculations from scratch encompassing PLC/SCADA, power generation & distribution and variable speed drive systems. Control and automation software experience would also be a distinct advantage.
* Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
* Confident communication skills - written and verbal.
* Numerate with good attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working as part of a team.
Qualification requirements:
Degree qualified in Electrical / Marine / Instrumentation & Controls Engineering related discipline.
