Lead and manage transport operations to ensure OTIF deliveries and service commitments.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional customer service from the department.
2. Support with managing profit and loss, controlling costs within agreed budgets.
3. Ensure compliance with company vision, values, and policies.
4. Develop new business opportunities to enhance operations.
5. Maintain good relationships with customers and onboard new business.
6. Ensure HR compliance, recruit and train new staff effectively.
7. Set objectives for staff and conduct regular team meetings.
8. Ensure excellent customer service and reduce complaints.
9. Maintain accurate stock records and minimise losses.
10. Comply with Health and Safety policies, ensure appropriate training and risk assessments.
11. Implement accident prevention measures, maintain an effective H&S Committee.
12. Ensure site property, equipment, and assets are compliant.
13. Ensure vehicle and driver compliance with regulations, monitor and minimise fuel consumption.
14. Conduct daily driver debriefs and ensure the security of company property.

1. Able to demonstrate significant transport experience within a multi-drop environment.
2. Excellent commercial acumen and budgetary experience.
3. Strong leadership and people management skills.
4. Able to work under pressure, multi-tasking and prioritising workloads successfully.
5. PC literate in programmes such as Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
6. Experience in legislative compliance.
7. Technical knowledge of HGV, LGV.
Education:
1. Recognised Management qualification.
2. Hold a Managers CPC.
3. Hold a valid driving licence.
4. NEBOSH Managing Safety or equivalent.
