Cranleigh STEM is proud to be partnering with an innovative organisation in the sustainability sector to recruit a driven and self-motivated Electrical Controls Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between software and hardware for our clients' next-generation clean energy solutions.
The role involves producing system schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and supporting the build and testing of electrical control panels.
The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills, expertise working with PLCs, fault finding, and a track record of designing electrical hardware to high standards. A solid understanding of industrial electronics is essential.
Design and document single-line and detailed electrical systems, including components like transformers, motors, and circuit protection.
Develop specifications and compliance documentation for internal and contractor-led projects.
Familiarity with functional safety (EN 61511) and Siemens PLCs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally.
Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Expertise in machinery compliance (CE/UKCA), EMC/EMI mitigation, and low-voltage systems.
