Overview of role
Zodiac Maritime has embarked on a significant digital transformation programme, the scope of which touches most parts of the business. We are looking for a Business Analyst with a credible track of working within complex change & transformation programmes, the outcome of which included significant technical changes.
Based five days a week in our office in central London, you’ll contribute to a variety of projects within the programme from delivering continuous improvement to newly implemented ERP solutions to implementing new procurement or contract management systems. This is a broad role which will require you to be comfortable across the end-to-end analysis process, from actively engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements through to owning the UAT process and into Hypercare.
Key responsibilities and primary deliverables
To be successful in the role,
* You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and objectives through interviews, workshops, and meetings to gather information and document the requirements accurately.
* You will analyse gathered requirements and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential issues.
* You will create documentation such as business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
* You will facilitate communication, manage expectations and act as a bridge between business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams.
* You will identify areas of inefficiency or bottlenecks within business processes and propose improvements using various techniques like business process modelling and reengineering to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
* You will analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making using tools like Excel, SQL, or business intelligence software to extract, manipulate, and visualize data.
* Based on the gathered requirements, you will work with technical teams to design appropriate solutions to create system specifications, wireframes, and mock-ups to outline how the proposed solution will address business needs.
* You will collaborate with testing teams to develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for UAT to ensure that the developed solution meets the business requirements.
* You will monitor the performance of implemented solutions and gather feedback from users identifying opportunities for further optimization and improvement
Relevant experience & education
* Strong technical background and knowledge of various technologies and platforms.
* Track record of successfully contributing the systems implementation (ERP) or technical change projects.
* Ideally experience of working within shipping, logistics, oil & gas or utilities businesses.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
* Experience and proficiency on the delivery of BA artefacts on multiple, concurrent and/ or complex programmes of work.
* Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
