Provide on-call and consultant-present care across our sites, with a primary focus on the acute Medical Assessment Unit (AAU) at Pinderfields Hospital and on Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at Pinderfields Hospital, and each of the team take a share of consultant-present evening and weekend duties, along with the general medical on-call team. Daytime Duties: part of the scheduled weekly timetable (below) with four consultants providing concurrent wards in close liaison with a fifth consultant who provides ED in-reach assessment and coordination with the Emergency Department. Support is provided by specialties within the hospital. Weekday Evenings: scheduled rounds are provided until 2000 on a (planned)1:16 basis and will include overnight on-call cover, paired with a Respiratory consultant who leads a parallel round.
