ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities, supporting them to lead independent and fulfilling lives. You will assist with:
o Daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties
o Supporting residents in achieving personal goals and ambitions
o Engaging the people we support in social and recreational activities such as sensory sessions, music, crafts, and community outings
o Accompanying the people we support to medical appointments and liaising with healthcare professionals
o Administering medication and maintaining accurate records
o Creating a safe and supportive environment that promotes dignity, choice, and independence
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We welcome applications from individuals with or without previous care experience. We are looking for people who:
o Have excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
o Are patient, compassionate, and dedicated to making a positive impact
o Are willing to complete training and work towards their Care Certificate
o Have basic IT and numeracy skills for record-keeping
o Are physically able to assist with mobility support (full training provided)
o Hold a full UK manual driving licence (for roles requiring driving, must be 21+)
