Project Engineer - Electrical Somerset
As a Project Engineer – Electrical, you will be responsible for managing the electrical (HV & LV) aspects of construction projects, supporting from design phase through to installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure.
Reporting to the Head of Construction, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of large-scale infrastructure for our battery manufacturing facility in Somerset, UK.
Provide technical support during the planning, design, installation, and commissioning phases of electrical projects.
Oversee the quality of work on electrical systems, ensuring that all installations meet safety codes and regulatory standards.
Develop project timelines, resources and cost estimates; coordinate tasks to ensure the project stays on track.
Coordinate and build relationships with the internal teams (mechanical, civil, and process engineers), as well as external contractors, and suppliers and other stakeholders.
We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Experience in both HV & LV works, Transformers & Switchboard installations and upgrades.
Experience in large scale Industrial Projects or Infrastructure, highly desirable.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, design, and standards.
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, etc.).
Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations.
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
