THE ROLE This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a developmental/entry level role in an exciting and vibrant industry. As a Rigging Assistant, you will receive full training in Cable Splicing starting out in our Warehouse in High Wycombe, quickly moving to site to carry out on the job shadowing across the Globe. Whilst on site you will also be given training on Rigging, helping whilst on site as and when needed. There is scope within this role to train fully as a Rigger. This role reports to the Cable Manager whilst in base and relevant UM whilst on site. This comes as a demanding but rewarding role, acting as an essential part of being able to live stream our golf, and other events. When on the Golf, this often leads to long periods of time away from home, both in the UK and abroad, so passport and ability to travel is essential. RESPONSIBILITIES Stripping of fibre cables Cleaning of fibre cables Splicing of fibre cables Checking measurements Fault finding Assisting Riggers lay cables around course De rigging cables after event has finished Dropping off cable to the multiple “hubs” around the course Placement of cable ramps & strip matting around compound & course to protect cables Assisting riggers with fault finding cables and replace if faulty Helping with Scaffolding Picking up materials Assisting the scaffolding team picking up materials around course Assisting the RF team working behind the camera man with signal stability REQUIREMENTS Must have strong desire to learn. Conscientious work ethic Interest or previous experience with fiber or cables and/or rigging would be beneficial but is not essential.
