Role : Planner Reporting t o: Planning Manager Site : Low Street, Buckie Shift Pattern : Flexible, 40 hours per week (day shift, Monday to Friday) Pay : The pay rate is negotiable depending on entry-level skills and/or experience. We are seeking a Planner to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in managing and optimising daily production schedules, stock movements, and orders fulfilment. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our customers' needs are met efficiently and to the highest standards. Main Responsibilities : Maintain accurate production records, ensuring all orders and production data are up-to-date and tracked daily. Manage cold store records, perform weekly stock reconciliations, and oversee stock movements across internal and external locations. Coordinate the scheduling, distribution, and expediting of production to meet daily and weekly customer demand. Communicate and collaborate with commercial, operations, and transport teams to ensure smooth fulfilment of orders. Track all stock movements, issue delivery notes/manifests, and maintain accurate records. Proactively flag potential production or stock issues and communicate effectively with relevant teams to prevent disruptions. Support production scheduling by aligning equipment, labour, and material availability with customer needs. Attend relevant meetings and share updates on promotions, new products, or changes that may impact planning. Provide interdepartmental support and holiday cover to ensure continuity of operations. Ideal Candidate will have : A results-driven, proactive mindset with strong organisational skills and a "can-do" attitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively. Working knowledge of production processes, systems, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint). High numerical capability and attention to detail to meet key business objectives. A flexible and adaptable approach to managing changing priorities and deadlines.
