Job Description
The role:
Reporting to the People Strategy Manager the People Advisor will be a key member of the People Department providing cover during a period of maternity leave, responsible for delivering high-quality People-focused support for all employees across the entire employee life cycle. This role will focus on ensuring smooth People Department operations, maintaining compliance with employment laws, managing employee records, and enhancing employee engagement and wellbeing. The People Advisor will also support talent acquisition processes and support the administration of various People systems and policies.
Who we are:
Founded in 2011, Transmission Investment manages one of the largest offshore electricity transmission portfolios in the world in terms of the capacity of offshore wind connected. Our portfolio of assets includes the connections to eleven GB offshore wind farms - a portfolio of over 3000MW (circa £2,700m in capital employed). We are are also an independent originator and developer of, and investor in transmission projects, most notably HVDC (high voltage direct current) electrical interconnector projects in the UK and elsewhere in Europe.
We are also developing and constructing a number of Grid Stability facilities under contracts with the National Grid Electricity System Operator. The facility at Blackhillock near Keith is currently under construction and expected to enter operational service in Q2 2024.
Transmission Investment has a growing team of more than forty people with a broad range of competencies within engineering, regulation, construction, asset management, project development, finance, and merger & acquisitions. The team has the experience required to develop, finance, execute and manage largescale and complex energy infrastructure projects.

Employment Summary:
* Salary: £36,000 per annum on a pro rata basis
* Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days)
* Contract type: Fixed term contract (18 months maternity cover)
* Start date: December 2024

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
People Operations
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all People-related inquiries
* Provide proactive and effective guidance and advice throughout the employee life cycle
* Stay informed about changes in employment law and ensure ongoing compliance throughout the company
* Manage employee records, payroll documentation, and benefits administration, including pensions and wellness programs.
* Collaborate with Finance on monthly payroll reports and manage external partnerships with benefits providers.
* Support People-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Employee Engagement
* Assist with company wellness and engagement activities
* Coordinate company events, meetings, and employee engagement activities, ensuring inclusivity for both in-person and remote employees.
* Manage employee lifecycle surveys, providing insights and action plans to the leadership team
Systems and Data Management
* Administer and optimize the HRIS system (Bob), ensuring data accuracy and providing training to employees.
* Generate and analyse People data and reports to inform decision-making.
* Maintain subscriptions and integrations with other People-focused systems (e.g., iHasco).
Talent Acquisition
* Support the full recruitment process for permanent positions, from job posting to onboarding.
* Manage the planning and administration of the interview process in coordination with hiring managers and People Strategy Manager

Education, Work Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in an HR advisory role, with a strong understanding of UK employment law.
* Minimum CIPD Level 3
* Experience managing payroll and employee expenses
* Experience working with HR Information Systems (specifically HiBob)
* Strong understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations
* Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
