What You’ll Be Doing
As the Registered Manager, you will:
* Provide inspirational leadership, managing all aspects of the children’s home and ensuring compliance with Ofsted, the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
* Develop and implement personalised care plans to support each young person’s emotional, social, and educational development.
* Build and manage a high-performing team, offering guidance, supervision, and training to ensure outstanding care delivery.
* Act as the safeguarding lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
* Foster a positive, nurturing home environment that promotes growth and resilience.
* Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and families to achieve the best outcomes for the young people in your care.
* Oversee budgets, ensuring effective resource management and financial efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you will need:
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or to be actively working towards it.
* A minimum of five years’ residential experience, including at least two years in a management role within children’s residential care.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
* A proven track record of delivering high standards of care.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Emotional resilience, sound decision-making abilities, and the capacity to remain calm in complex situations.
