About Us:
Our client is the UK's number one M&E Contractor. Owned by one of the world's largest energy companies they are financially stable and operate across multiple sectors providing building & construction solutions.
They are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team to lead a significant, new-build project which has been given the green light.
The Role
As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of a complex healthcare project set to last until 2028. The role demands a seasoned professional, preferably from a building services background, who can bring extensive commercial acumen to oversee and manage all aspects of the project and liaise closely with the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide commercial leadership and support.
Manage the contractual and financial aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to optimize project outcomes.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Monitor and control project costs, budgets, and cash flow to ensure financial success.
Negotiate and manage contracts, variations, and claims effectively.
Provide timely and accurate commercial reporting to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant qualification
Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, ideally in the M&E sector, but other backgrounds will be considered for the right candidate.
Strong understanding of contract management, procurement, and risk assessment.
Experience working on healthcare projects is desirable but not essential.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Adept at managing multiple stakeholders and building strong relationships.
Requirements:
Experience within the M&E sector desirable
Shrewsbury based for the duration of the project with some hybrid working when appropriate.
