Role:
The Bid Manager is responsible for supporting pre-sales activities, from coordinating bid activities by following a clear bid process and procedure, to articulating solutions through clear visual presentations. Operating from the UK London Office, this role reports to the Head of Technical Direction and supports the UK & Ireland team across major business units, including Public Sector, Automotive, Aerospace, and Defence
The Bid Manager will play a critical role in supporting business growth by managing the bid process across all stages of the bid lifecycle, including RFI, PQQ, RFP, ITT, and presentations.
They will collaborate closely with technical teams to create high-quality bid responses that meet client requirements and specifications while ensuring clarity and visual appeal. The role also involves building strong relationships with global counterparts to develop and maintain a robust portfolio of reusable offers and presentations, enhancing efficiency and consistency.
The successful candidate will work within a practice-led organisation, supported by a structured team of technical practice managers across IT & Digital, Software, Systems, and Hardware domains.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the initial pre-sales and bid process point of contact for the business management team across all UK business industries, including Public Sector, Automotive, Aerospace, and Defence.
* Coordinate the creation of written bid responses aligned with client requirements and specifications across the full bid lifecycle, including RFI, PQQ, RFP, ITT, and presentations.
* Work closely with technical teams, including IT & Digital, Software, Systems, and Hardware specialists, to gather and articulate technical solutions that address client needs and align with business objectives.
* Collaborate with practice managers to ensure bids are underpinned by subject matter expertise, leveraging the latest innovations and best practices across domains.
* Act as a liaison between technical teams and business development, translating complex technical solutions into clear, client-focused proposals and presentations.
* Provide guidance to practice managers on bid strategy and content creation, ensuring alignment with the client’s goals and requirements.
* Build and maintain a repository of reusable bid content, templates, and visual assets by working with global counterparts, ensuring high-quality and efficient response development.
* Track and report on all opportunities within the pre-sales pipeline to ensure visibility of progress, resource needs, and deadlines.
* Produce visually engaging and professional presentations that effectively communicate technical and business solutions to clients.
* Support collaboration between cross-functional teams to identify and address potential risks, gaps, or challenges within the bid process.
* Regularly engage with stakeholders across business units to gather insights and feedback that enhance future bid submissions and strategy.

Required Experience:
* Demonstrable experience managing bid processes across various sectors, such as Public Sector, Automotive, Aerospace, and Defense.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality bid responses throughout the full bid lifecycle.
* Strong understanding of IT & Digital, Software, Systems, and Hardware domains.
Required Skills:
