To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent Functional area: Engineering An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated HV & SCADA Operations Engineer to join our Operations and Maintenance team at our Rampion Offshore Wind Farm project based in Newhaven, East Sussex, UK. Within this role, you would be working as part of a team that operates and maintain the 400MW Rampion Offshore Wind Farm consisting of 116 Vestas v112-Mk2C wind turbines, associated High Voltage infrastructure and balance of plant assets. About the role: Developing and implementing HV & SCADA related engineering and condition-based maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve measured site performance as defined in the business plan Management and planning of major site HV outages Management of the OFTO relationship, a critical stakeholder for site Responsible person for critical HV & SCADA infrastructure and risks across site Managing plant area budgets >£1m and management of key site contracts and contracted staff as nominated Implementing initiatives to improve the management of site safety, contributing to the achievement of the company safety objectives Management of plant modifications, simulations, and control of process risks about HV & SCADA assets Management of site statutory and regulatory obligations concerning compliance with the HV & SCADA network, i.e. Grid Code, CAF, Elexon etc Job requirements and experience: A suitable engineering degree, HNC, or extensive operational experience Authorised as a Senior Authorised Person under HV safety rules, with multi-feed preferred, and Authorised Engineer under the wind turbine safety rules Experience in operations and maintenance in the offshore wind industry (or an equivalent industry) with an appropriate engineering discipline Proven expertise in asset operations, maintenance, and fault finding/rectification within the industry Working knowledge of current policies, procedures, regulations, etc… which affect the engineering management and asset integrity of a wind asset Contract management experience/training to support the management of several contracts which involve on-site work. To include the health, safety, and environmental aspects as well as the commercial, managerial, and technical issues An extensive understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards, qualified to NEBOSH/IOSH standards as appropriate, or equivalent Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships across the business and the wider renewables industry Ability to carry out thorough Root Cause Analysis of safety, operational, and process-related incidents utilising suitable tools and plant interrogation techniques, and an ability to implement robust solutions The minimum expectation to be onsite is 3 days per week so you must live within a reasonable distance from site or be willing to relocate.
