The Day Opportunities Team works one-to-one with vulnerable adults who need support to get back to doing the things they love. We promote well-being by supporting people to become part of their community.
About the job
A short-term intervention for long-term prevention, getting people active and connected while helping to reduce the need for formal care. We also include a digital service - where service users are supported to access online groups using Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
What We Are Looking For From You
Your role will be to work as part of a team to provide effective leadership and management of people and performance, ensuring that the service we deliver is consistently of high quality, person-centred, and outcome-led.
You will be expected to work alongside the service manager to monitor and review the service to ensure that agreed outcomes are met. Effectively supervise the Community Engagement Officers, conduct case work audits to provide advice and support, undertake risk assessments for the service, cover the service on call/triage service, and respond to HR queries. You will also have your own caseload and participate in researching community groups/activities around the city.
We are seeking an innovative, resourceful person who can use their initiative and has good interpersonal skills to join our team. You will need to demonstrate an ability to respond sensitively to individuals' physical and personal care needs as well as having a positive can-do attitude with strong communication skills.
You will need a full valid driving licence and have daily use of a car for business use.
