We are currently looking for an Advanced Theatre Practitioner who would be keen to join our Ophthalmic theatre team.
In order to provide the best possible care and outcomes for the patients in our care, we want to attract, train and provide ongoing support to the right people - people who can join our existing teams of skilled professionals and who are committed to making a positive difference to our patients.

Main duties of the job
1. To help coordinate the skilled care of patients within the theatre specialty; demonstrating expertise in all aspects of the care of patients.
2. As required, to provide direct support to clinicians and patients.
3. To contribute to the management of the specialty by acting as a professional role model; able to confidently lead a team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* RN or RODP
* Mentorship or teaching and assessing qualification
* Post registration qualification/module in anaesthetics and/or surgery and/or recovery and/or HDU
* Diploma/Degree
* Leadership/management training
* Surgical First Assistant module/qualification
Experience
* Able to demonstrate considerable experience in anaesthetics and/or surgery and/or recovery
* Experience of teaching and assessing
* Evidence of professional development
* Experience of acting as Surgical First Assistant
