Project Engineer
A Project Engineer is required to join a leading provider of building services plant and equipment including prefabricated skids and plant rooms, pipe work, valves, and controls. A mechanical engineering design or project engineering background in HVAC equipment or pipe fitting would be ideal.
You must already live in the Southampton / Portsmouth area to be considered for this role. Sponsorship cannot be provided.
Your background may be in pipe fitting or with an HVAC equipment manufacturer and also include fabrication knowledge of engineered-to-order equipment.
The Role
The purpose is to manage projects to ensure projects are delivered on time and accurately.
1. Scoping with customer, through design phase, in-house fabrication and assembly, testing, installation & commissioning.
2. Compiling tech submissions, BOMs managing sub contractors and suppliers.
3. Procurement and sourcing of materials.
4. As required be on site with a customer and troubleshoot or fault find, coming up with the initial solution along with the engineering team.
5. You will manage project budgets ranging from £50k-£1m.
6. Plan, organize and manage customer meetings and design reviews.
7. Retain project ownership beyond the delivery phase into the warranty and after-sales phase.
Requirements
1. Project Engineering background – beneficial.
2. Candidates are likely to come from the following background: Project Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Pipe Fitter, Mechanical Design Engineer.
3. Design expertise – Solidworks or Revit – highly beneficial.
4. Customer-facing confidence.
5. HNC or higher Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering.
6. Full driving licence.
