What You’ll Be Doing As a SEND Teacher, your key responsibilities will include: Planning and Delivering Tailored Lessons: Adapt the curriculum to meet the specific needs of students with SEND, ensuring that each child has access to a meaningful and engaging learning experience. Supporting Individual Development: Work closely with students, providing targeted support to help them make progress both academically and socially. Collaboration with Support Staff: Work alongside teaching assistants, specialists, and other professionals to create a holistic support plan for each child. Monitoring and Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students' progress, adapting strategies as necessary, and setting achievable targets to ensure ongoing development. Fostering an Inclusive Classroom Environment: Create a safe and welcoming space for all students, where differences are celebrated, and every child feels valued. Building Strong Relationships with Parents: Engage with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and working together to support their development. Contributing to Whole-School Initiatives: Participate in school-wide programs that promote inclusion and the well-being of all students. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a SEND Teacher who: Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Has experience teaching students with SEND and a deep understanding of different special educational needs. Is passionate about inclusion and committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Demonstrates a strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and how to implement them effectively in the classroom. Has excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Is a team player, eager to collaborate with other staff members and external agencies to provide the best possible outcomes for students. Has a proactive and flexible attitude, with a commitment to creating a positive learning environment for all students.
