Reporting to the Quality Manager you will (INDPERM);
Be required to respond to both external and internal customer queries, maintain a clean and safe working environment, be comfortable with computer systems, take photographs of stock, and generate and maintain appropriate quality documentation.
Work will involve assessing and testing of incoming fresh produce. You will ensure that the procedures are followed by all personnel and visitors to the site, and that equipment is operational with relevant checks made and maintained. When problems arise, you will contact the relevant contractors to resolve the issue.
You will be required to ensure company policies are adhered to, administration functions are completed within deadlines, and accurate records are maintained in line with customer/company requirements. Additionally, you will promote harmonious and effective working relationships both internally and externally, ensuring excellent customer service through a combination of communication and teamwork.
Skills:
1. EXPERIENCE IN GRAPES or FRESH PRODUCE IS ESSENTIAL
2. Experience in the fresh produce industry (Packing lines/Warehouse)
3. Experience in Quality Control and HACCP Trained
4. Technically capable; the chosen candidates will need to be IT literate and demonstrate competencies of operating/understanding spreadsheets
5. Great communication skills and the ability to easily build rapport with colleagues and liaise confidently at all levels
6. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
7. React positively and flexibly to the changing needs in the overall working environment and individual role
8. Flexible approach to duties and hours of work to meet the needs of the business on a day-to-day basis
9. Able to work alone and as part of a team
10. Customer focused
11. Ability to work, but more importantly prioritise and make decisions, under pressure
12. Knowledge of Rubicon or Prophet is desired
