Working as part of the Video Team, the primary role of the Technician is to assist the Video Manager with the preparation and testing of equipment and accessories assigned to the department, to the Company’s standards and within the deadlines set. Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves. Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing, testing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule. Keeping the warehouse and work areas tidy and organised at all times. Work as part of a team in the preparation, cleaning, verification, testing and returning of Video and Digital Media systems Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly Ensure equipment software is current and licenses are obtained as required Ensure an acceptable working pace is maintained in the department Identify common faults within the prep process and report to the Head of Department Testing new and repaired hardware and software before full-scale installation Safety store customer content Update equipment orders on TEAM database Inform the Head of Department of any shortages of equipment / consumables for forthcoming jobs Support the Head of Department with routine maintenance and repair of equipment where needed Ensure the Company’s quality standards are maintained at all times Keep up to date with the latest technology within the department Ensure the LEAN process is adhered to at all times. Ensure the department is kept tidy and orderly at all times. Assist in the undertaking of stock cycle counts with operational departments when scheduled Report any health and safety issues to the Warehouse Manager Undertake training as required to assist with personal development within role Ensure that the Company’s policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties Core Responsibilities Health & Safety: Ability to maintain a safe, clean and hazard-free environment and understand and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Rules.
