Job Title - Compliance OfficerSalary - £38,000 - £44,000Location - Bristol Main Job PurposeThe role holder works as part of a team that ensures university services and infrastructure are legally compliant and fit for purpose, to enable research, teaching and learning to take place in a well-maintained, safe and secure environment, whilst being mindful and contributing to the university's net-zero carbon plan. They apply building services regulations and best practice to manage compliance risk in specific service areas and liaise with team members to coordinate activities within the team to ensure all areas of compliance are covered. They manage and coordinate compliance contracts and work delivery in liaison with schools and facilities, providing advice and support whenever necessary.Job Responsibilities
1. Plan, organise, monitor and review compliance work carried out by specialist contractors and staff across the University estate covering gas and mechanical systems and inspections, including managing day-to-day 'works' undertaken by contractors.
2. Design and deliver a variety of toolbox talks and training to staff in respect of compliance testing and methods, to maximise effectiveness, quality, safety and efficiency.
