Job summary Research Administrator Oncology research Band 3 We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Research Administrator to join our oncology research team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. In this role, you will provide vital administrative support to the clinical trial administrators and the wider research team. A key aspect of this role will be overseeing the invoicing of trials, collaborating closely with internal and external research partners to maintain efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in clinical research and be able to work independently within a dynamic and dedicated team. Excellent communication and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines are essential. Main duties of the job Main duties of the job Research Study Finances -To initiate set-up of invoicing record with lead nurses and clinical trial administrators during study set up, ensuring that the record accurately reflects the study protocol. -To maintain a record of transactions for each study within the cancer research team (CRT). -To initiate the invoicing process for income due for studies carried out in the CRT -To maintain accurate records of patient expenses related to research studies -To liaise with RD&I finance as well as research sponsoring organisations regarding trial invoices Administration -To take a lead role in ensuring that all information related to patient visits is captured accurately within invoicing logs. -To be the main contact for invoicing queries for both internal and external research teams. -To manage and update filing systems related to invoicing and income, ensuring an accurate record is maintained for each research study as required by reporting metrics. To create and develop new files and systems where appropriate. -To be responsible for the collection and collation of trial data and completion of trial documentation in accordance with trial protocols. General Support -To help the research team with administration tasks such as archiving, filing, ordering office supplies and room bookings.
