Job summary The post holder will work at a senior level within the School of Nursing, AHP and Midwifery at University Hospitals Birmingham. The post holder will play a fundamental role in ensuring that UHB has a competent, skilled and capable workforce across nursing, AHP, midwifery and health care support work. They will manage a range of portfolios including specialist education, and more corporate functions such as induction and preceptorship. They will work closely with the School team and senior leaders across the trust which includes a close working relationship with workforce directors. The post holder will have autonomy and be empowered to manage the workstreams with a clear and translatable vision. Main duties of the job Lead and deliver Post Registration and Unregistered Education curriculum development across UHB in line with the workforce strategy/training needs analysis and in collaboration with Higher Education Institutes (HEI's) and external partners. Champion excellence in education by establishing and managing the non-medical education curriculum, overseeing the design and development of the portfolio. Creating innovative approaches to education design and delivery. Encourage deeper learner engagement in enhancement of learning and teaching and the learner experience. Lead and motivate the Post Registration and Unregistered Education teams to contribute to the Directorate's success in education. Lead the delivery of organisational and cultural change within the Post Registration and Unregistered Education teams Benchmark and deliver improvements in the non-medical education KPI's and performance targets.
